Backyard Plans

This is from the back patio all the way around the side of the house. I love it because that dirt is gone & the boys can ride all round back & forth!

This is a pad for a future shed. We will try to get rid of some stuff in our garage. And then in that little dirt spot we will put some flat stones.

In front of the patio we will be putting grass again & then next to that we will have a hole dug for a trampoline to go into. And then maybe decking around that.

Then on this side next to the house we will plant something. Not sure what yet.

We got concrete poured yesterday. This was Crew & Boots looking out the window. They were both scared of the truck. Tanner & Carson were outside watching Poppa & his workers. This is the first step on the projects we have planned for the backyard. I am so excited & can't wait for it all to be done.

There is this house around the corner from us that we call the "garage sale house". They are always having a garage sale. And usually the week before the big sale their whole yard is full of all their stuff. The boys always ask if we can stop. A few times we have walked down to check out the goods. Well the other day Tanner's friend told him that the man was giving a bike away for free and asked if he could walk down there. I told him yes he could go look but come right back. This is what he came back with. A motorcycle bike. The boys were so excited. All it needed was a little air in the tires. It is probably more Carson's size but he can't ride a bike yet without training wheels. So he just has fun sitting on it & Tanner has more fun riding it around!

Today....

Carson took some deer horns to preschool for show and tell. You don't have to tell me.......I know it is kind of redneck.

Crew took a morning nap. He fell asleep in the car after I dropped everyone off at school & we had to drive to pick up my stuff at work. So no afternoon nap for him. I will be ready for him to go to bed tonight!

I woke up congested. Not sure if it is allergies from sitting in the wind at soccer practice last night. It is annoying me!!

I did some laundry. But didn't follow though with it. Now I just added to the pile in my bedroom of clothes that need to be folded and put away. Or maybe we can dig through it till it needs to be washed again.

I put some pork chops in the crock pot for dinner tonight. Not sure what else we will be eating with it??

Is Melissa's birthday. Happy birthday to you!!!!

We decided at the last minute to go riding. We just went in the desert behind Las Vegas H.S. It was so windy though. This was the first time that I have been with them. It was fun to watch Tanner out there riding all by himself. He looked so big. He was jumping some little hills & doing donuts. When he came back & sat with me on the tailgate he said "I was writing cursive out there." At first I didn't know what he was talking about. He said "See all that writing.....I did that."

Carson & Crew had some fun just taking rides with Brian & I.
With only one 4 wheeler & 5 people, I realized that it is not tons of fun waiting for a turn.
I forgot how much fun they are. We might have to think about another one. Maybe another one for mom & dad.

And this is just a little proof that Tanner is a trash collector just like his dad. He carried this hose from so far. And told us that it looked pretty good. I just looked & Brian....and we both laughed.

It was a fun time & I think the boys had a good time. It makes it all worth it when we get in the truck to leave & Tanner says......
"THANKS DAD!!"

Field Day

Tanner had field day today. I was able to go in the morning & help. It was so much fun watching all these kids. They really had a good time. Tanner had some stories when he came home from school. He even has a new bruise on his hip from "jump the river".

Outside fun!

We were outside yesterday from when we got home from getting Tanner from school till it was time to come in and get ready for bed. The weather was so nice & the boys were happy. We had leftovers for dinner last night & they ate outside too. We even got a treat from the ice cream truck!

This is what I found when I went to bed last night just sitting on my nightstand. A little picture from Carson. I'm not sure exactly what it is but it made me smile!!

Climber

He has started to CLIMB!! It drives me crazy. He will just sit on top of the table with a toy & be so happy playing. This was him last night while I was making dinner.
I am trying to train the boys to put their dishes in the sink after dinner.
Because even if he doesn't climb on top of the table he still can reach everything. And then that is usually a big mess!
He climbs on top of our dresser too. Nothing is stopping this kid!!

If I have to tell one more person why these flags are all over our yard! I have probably told 10 people. Brian has put manure and seed all over the yard. And the bright orange flags are to keep the pigeons off. Sounds funny. But it really does work. Can we take them out already?

Connor & Carson were having a conversation today on the way to preschool. Connor said to Carson "I have had 6 games and Amber hasn't come to one yet." I just smiled. He was totally sweating me. You know where I will be on Saturday. He does have a game on Saturday? Right Brooke? Call me with the details. I don't want to let this kid down!

I had a meeting today for scouts. I was given all the books and folders for all the cub scouts. I guess this cub master calling is official. Pretty scary stuff. But laurel advisor is pretty scary too!! Speaking of.....I have to prepare a lesson for this Sunday.


With some motivation from someone I have been trying really hard to eat better. I have a food notebook & I write everything down.

24 Hour Trip

Susie, Jen & I went to see Colbie Callett concert at Tuacahn on friday night. She sounded so good live & we had some fun of course watching people. We also learned how to light the water heater thanks to Brian. Went to see Cheryl & Richard's new house. Had a couple really good meals & lots of laughs. Thanks for some good times!

Easter

This is kind of late but I was out of town for Easter. Brian did a good job at taking pictures. After I reminded him 100 times. (I didn't want to miss out.) This is what the Easter Bunny left.Then he took pictures of them before church. Of course Carson is a little upset. You can't take his picture unless he wants it taken. And it looks like he didn't. I can just hear him in this picture.
