Friend issues

Tanner had some issues today with his friend Espen. I called his mom to see if she was going to bring her kids over to play today & she told me that Tanner came to their house yesterday & asked to play with Espen's older brother & that he did not want to play with Espen. Well that hurt Espen's feelings and made him cry. I had no idea that this had happened & when she was telling me this I just kept apologizing. I was so embarrassed. When I picked up Tanner from school today , you can say we had a little talk. I asked him if he wanted to make him some cookies to take to him so he will know that Tanner was sorry & that he still wanted to be his friend. And Tanner said "Let Espen come over & make cookies with us." Espen came over and everything worked out. They played really well together. Tanner learned a lesson today that he needs to be careful what he says to his friends and how easy it is to hurt someone's feelings. I am glad things worked out.

Sunday

I went to visit April at the hospital yesterday after church. She had twin girls. Katlyn Nichole & Tegan Faith. Not my first choice in names but I guess everyone has different tastes. They are so little (5lb 10oz & 5lb 15oz) and cute. & April is doing well. It was crazy to hold them. I forget how little babies are. Well neither one of my boys were that little when they were born. It made me think for a minute of another baby.
I totally forgot about celebrating grandma's birthday at mom's house. I am happy that Heather took some pictures. We were invited to Jen's house for dinner with her family for her birthday. It was fun. I am so grateful for Jen & our friendship. Love having a girlfriend I can talk to & do things with!!
Tanner was so excited to go to church yesterday because I gave him a little Book of Mormon. He wanted to bring it to church because in Primary when they sing Scripture Power they ask the kids who brought their scriptures to stand up. A man from the ward comes in with a superman cape (they call him scripture man) & shake all the kids hands. So exciting for Tanner. And he loves his new teachers. It is Bro. & Sis. Rasmussen but he calls them Robison. I guess it is hard for him to say. His teachers always tell me how good he is & how smart he is.
Well today is going to be a day filled with cleaning & working. Nothing exciting unless we go visit great grandma. But other then that just the same old stuff.

Clean house

I love a clean house! The look of everything in it's place & the smell of clean just makes me happy! I spent pretty much all day today cleaning. I really don't like to clean on Saturdays because Sunday always seems like a messy day. Everyone is home & just relaxing and not doing much but making messes! But it feels good for a day or however long it will last. I love a clean house!

Tanner's hairdo

I went into the bathroom this morning to check on Tanner. I thought he was just brushing his teeth. When I walked in he was trying to get his mohawk just right! I just had to take a picture.
And by the way look at me I figured out how to do pictures!!

Terrible two

Carson is at that age. Yes-- terrible two. Something that will last I'm sure for awhile and then I will call it terrible three. It was something that I guess I forgot about or didn't think that it was that bad. But my sweet little Carson is a monster or beast whatever I feel like calling him for that day! No but seriously his attitude can turn on like a switch. I am trying to distract him more when I know he might get mad or the monster in him comes out, but even that does't seem to work. And by the end of the day I am seriously feeling like I am going to break down. Feel like I just want to scream or really just want to go lay in a quiet dark room all by myself! If you know what I mean. I just have to try to remember that he is just going through a stage & he is still my sweet little baby--well not really a baby anymore!

1. My new cookbook I got from Cheryl Rose. I am having so much fun trying new recipes.

2. Don't laugh at me--- Carrie Underwood's CD. Love her!

3. Doing my laundry twice a week now. That way I can follow through with folding/hanging and actually putting away!

4. That both boys were asleep tonight at 8:30pm! Touchdown!

I was working at my desk today and I could hear Tanner & Carson playing in the other room. It puts a smile on my face when I hear them playing nice together. It makes my life much easier and I don't feel like I am pleading with Tanner to be nice. Tanner also started singing "Follow the prophet". It sounded so cute.
Had to go to work again today for some more training. It is very stressful and overwhelming. After working on our old system for 10+ years and pretty much able to do it with my eyes closed. Change is scary. It will just take some time to figure things out.

Daily Chores

Some daily chores that I like to get done every day are:
1. Clean kitchen
2. Sweep floor
3. Pick up toys around the house
4. Make my bed

Today I had to leave the house pretty early (earlier than I am used to) 8:30am to take the boys to moms. I had to go to a training class at work, so I didn't get to get any of my chores done. I feel lucky that I can stay at home with my boys and still work at the same time. Man I really feel bad for those 9 to 5ers. Trying to leave the house with everyone dressed and ready is such a process. And then when you get home at night the whole thought of nothing was done around the house & the big question What is for dinner?
Carson has been sick for the last week or so with ear infections and then he got a viral infection. Let me just say is has been a BEAST. Last night was the first night it seems like in forever that he slept all night (12 hours)
Yeah for me!! And he took a 2 hour nap today. I quess I can say he has been in a much better mood today!!

I wanted to start this

I wanted to start this blog mainly because Heather & Candace both have one (and I always want to be like them) that I enjoy to read. But also because I realized that this is something that I can do for me. It is such an easy way to journal all the little or big things that happen in a day in my life. I am not the best writer and I don't even have the knowledge how to post pictures but this is something to learn. So thanks Heather & Candace for inspiring me. Love you!
