First Day of School!

Tanner was so excited to wear his cammo pants. (The ones he has been wearing everyday since Sunday.) He didn't understand why I had to wash them if he wanted to wear them another day. Will have to post an update on how his day went after I pick him up!

XBox

Tanner loves to play XBox! He is actually pretty good. How do little kids know how to use electronics & play computer games better than adults? It is good that school is starting in a couple of days so maybe his little thumbs can have a break!

Carson's new shoes

I took the boys shopping yesterday to get Tanner some new school clothes & shoes. Well Carson fell in love with these. I felt bad because I was buying everything for Tanner. So I gave in! He loves them because they have LIGHTS!!

My least favorite shoes for kids are character shoes & I think my second has always been shoes with lights. Wouldn't you know Carson is in love so I guess that makes his shoes cool!!

Sunset Park

We went to Sunset park today with Jessica & the boys. Carson was so cute feeding the ducks. He would say "this one is for you & this is for you" as he threw in popcorn. We packed a lunch and stayed for a little while. They both said thank you when we got in the car to leave. I love when they say that to me without being told. Then we stopped by to see the airplanes landing. Tanner thought that was so cool. I told him maybe we could go back when in was dark.

Update from Kolob trip

I haven't posted in so long. Here are some pictures from the boys trip to Kolob. They had such a good time. They were both full of stories when they came home. Their favorite part was the go kart that Brian's friend brought. It had rained and so that meant MUD!! What can make little boys happier. This is what they looked like when they got off! They were in heaven!

I kind of wanted something new. It is hard to tell in these pictures because the room is so dark but Jen also gave me this rocker. Hopefully it will be more comfy than the glider we had.

Waiting for Daddy

We have been up since 6:30 am! YUCK! I am so tired & grouchy! Carson woke up because he was so excited for their trip. Brian is taking the boys to Kolob for the weekend to go fishing. Can you see me smiling??? Anyways--Carson woke up & the first thing he had to go over was the list of things we had to do before the trip. He was repeating exactly what Brian told him last night. "Daddy has to go to work & we are going to the bank then to the grocery store then we will come home & pack our backpacks then wait for daddy. Then we will load up the truck go & get gas & then go on our trip." He is so excited but at the same time is so tired from getting up so early that he is very cranky & unreasonable. We are at the part of the list where we are waiting for daddy to come home from work. He is hoping around 1 or 2pm. Good for me because I don't think I can handle him till later. The mistake was to even say anything to him at all. He probably had dreams all night about his list! ! How cute is that? He has only been camping one other time & that was father's & sons. He of course loved it & now they can't leave him at home with mommy anymore. He is one of the big boys!

I am going to have a nice weekend. Hopefully do nothing. Well not nothing but I want to sleep & rest and then maybe do some scrapbooking. I am hoping the boys have a good time & get this energy out of their systems. They are just like their dad. They have been itching to go on a trip!

Hot pickles!

These boys pulled out a jar of banana peppers (they call them hot pickles) & started chowing down! I think they ate half the jar! Tanner loves hot & spicy things. He is a pro but Carson needed a bottle of water next to him so he could keep taking drinks. They even drank the juice!!!
