On one of their trips to Lowe's to get supplies for the backyard Crew also got a new pair of gloves.
He loves them!  He loves that they are Diego and also because now he can be like daddy when he is helping him work.  He has not wanted to take them off.  Not even to eat his breakfast! 

* We are almost done with our backyard.  Finally!  This has been a 5 year or more project.  I am so excited to finally be done with dirt.  So within the next couple weeks we will have some grass & plants.  Pictures to come.  Cause I will be so excited to show you!

* Do you ever wake up in the morning and you are not quite sure what day it is?  Well that happened to me on Saturday morning.  Not sure why?  I was happy when I realized that it was actually Saturday & we didn't have to do the normal routine in the morning.

* Crew has picked up on a bad word.  (thanks to Brian!)  I had to pop him in his mouth a couple times this week.

* Tanner saw a commerciall for the new Wii that now comes in black.  He was so excited to tell Brian.  But he said that we could just spray paint ours.  Nice!  Note to self:  Hide ALL spray paint! Quick!

* Brian's new favorite channel is HGTV.  I'm not complaining.  Much better than hunting & fishing channels.  I think it is because of all his hard work he has been doing in the yard?  Plus we have been dreaming of remodeling our kitchen?

*  Things have been better here since I have started ONE LOAD A DAY.  I do one load of laundry a day.  And that is it.  Then it is for sure that it will be all folded and put away at the end of the day.  I am loving that there is not laundry all over my room or all over my bed.  Oh and that the boys can find their clothes and socks in the morning.  Makes things a lot smoother. And I am happier.

*  I have also given myself some mini cleaning projects.  One a day.  I have skipped some days because I have been lazy.  But this is what I have gotten done:  cleaned the outside of kitchen cupboards, cleaned under couch & TV, cleaned the master shower (yes that was a project! I hate doing that so it gets skipped a lot!), clean the outside & under fridge, clean my closet, clean out Crew's drawer.

* Brian found a wallet this week in a diveway to a gas station.  He brought it home.  There was no cash or checkbook.  Only credit cards her ID and a lot of gift cards.  Her insurance cards were in there too.  So I called the Wynn and left a message for her husband.  The next morning I called Harrah's with no luck.  She did not work there but they have 9 properties. So I searched the phone book and internet when I finally had the idea to serach on facebook for her.  I was in luck!  I sent her a message & within 20 minutes she called me.  She was so happy.  She came right over to get it & gave me a big hug.  Tried to give $ but I wouldn't take it.  The next day we got a delivery from nothing bunt cakes as a thank you.  And now we are friends on facebook! And Brian said facebook is a waste of time.  All I have to say is that I think I would be a really good private investigator.

* He loves me!  He will watch me and try to get my attention.
* He still loves his baths.  He gets so excited when we undress him.
* His new thing is to cry when momma isn't holding him.  Then when he gets what he wants he is one happy boy. 
* He graduated out of his bouncy chair. He got too heavy.
* We got the highchair down cause he is now eating baby food.  I forgot what a mess that is.  Especailly when they are first learning how to eat with a spoon.
* He sucks his thumb.
* He is the best sleeper out of all my babies.  He sleeps all night. 
* He is ticklish. 
* I can't get over how much this baby loves me. He really does.

Friday 5.14.10

We were at St Rose hospital all day.
We got there at 10 am and didn't leave till 5pm.
It was a long day.

Greyson had to have a procedure done and be circumcised.
He had his last bottle at 4am and pedilite at 8am.
He was starting to get really hungry around 11:30.
And we were still in the waiting room.
I went and asked how much longer it would be.
I was told that the doctor's first case took longer then expected.
And Gresyon was her 3rd case.
Great! I was getting irritated because I was getting hungry.
And I knew he was too. 
Well Greyson did great.  Everyone there was loving him.
He would just smile at anyone who would talk to him.

They finally took him from us around 1:45.
The nurse wrapped him in a warm blanket.
He didn't even cry.

The surgery seemed to take forever.
I'm not gonna lie. I was getting worried. 
Probably because the night before I had already thought of all the worst things possible that could happen.
The dr finally came out.
She said all went well and he did great.
We went back in recovery and poor bubba was mad. 
All he wanted was to eat.

After he drank 4 ounces and kept that down we were able to leave.
He slept really good last night. And this morning he was his happy little self.
I am so happy to have this behind us.

Womens conference

I got to go to women's comference this year with my mom and sisters.
Well except for Heather.
Steve got really sick right before and she needed to be home.
And it ended up being a good thing. Because he got even worse.
But we for sure missed her.
We will have to plan going again.
All of us!

I really enjoyed all my classes that I heard.
We even managed to have a little fun.
Ate some ice cream at the creamery at 11pm with a bunch of crazy lds ladies.
Went to a concert. (lds style of course!)
Did some shopping at Joann's and ikea.
Went and met Aunt GayLynn & Chanda for some yummy lunch.
We had a really nice trip.

Oh and I learned some too.

I learned:
* To prioritize my time with the essential & necessary things.
* How to establish a lasting relationship.
* Better Communication in marriage.
* There is no one perfect way to be a good mother.
* How to find happiness in the daily things.
* Saying yes (to other things) means saying no to your children.
* Simplify. -- material things/activities/reduce your screen time.
* Mom sets the mood. Have a good attitude.
* Be your own style of mom. Do what you do best!
* Share your testimony with your children.  It doesn't have to be scheduled or scripted.
* Laugh when you want to cry.
* Enjoy the present.  Have you lived happily.
* Pray always.
* The greatest example of service is the love of a mother.
* The most important work we will do here on earth is in our home.
