Friday we went to the movies to see Cars 2.
I decided to bring Greyson with us.
I thought that it would all be good.
I thought he would just sit there and love it.
That if I gave him popcorn he would be an angel.
Well....
That was not the case.
He was a nightmare.
Why would I think that he would be any different?
Not sure.
But.....I didn't get to see any of the movie.
Him and I sat out in the hall.
I did get a readmission ticket from the manager though.
I think that he felt sorry for me.
I heard all about the movie though from the big boys.
I can't wait to see it now.

Oh and one more thing!
We have grass in our backyard.
Can you see the smile on my face?
I am so in love!
Can you even understand this love?

Swim lessons

Crew did not like to get his face wet. This made it hard for him to learn anything. He finally started putting his face in the water. It took some bribing. He also needed some help off the diving board too! haha!

Crew and Claire were in the same class. They both had some issues. But they sure did like their free time when they could float around in the rings.

Carson did so good this year. He just needed to build his confidence and realize that he CAN swim. He was swimming so fast and holding his breath for a long time too. He even jumped off the diving board. Then after he realized what he had done (jumped in and swam in the deep end) he had second thoughts on the second day. But his teacher didn't let him stop. He kept doing it.

Now all we need is to practice!!

Will I Survive?

Will I survive these long summer days?
The fighting?
The heat?
The extra mouths that are home all day always wanting something to eat?
The 100 extra cups that I have to wash?
The question of everyday: "What are we doing today?"
The errands and grocery store trips with all the kids?
The heat? (oh I already said that) But it is dang hot. If only we had a pool or somewhere we could go uninvited.
Will I survive?

This week I started a little chore system with the kids. They are the biggest slobs and I am always the one picking up after them. I put some little papers in a bowl that had different chores on them. They each picked one and then came back for another. We only did it for one hour and we got a lot done. Then I paid them at the end of the day with some family bucks. They can earn these for doing chores and for other reasons too. But they can also get them taken away for fighting or not listening. I get to decide. Then they have to pay me for time on the computer or for other activities. I'm still trying to figure it out. Maybe I will also have a little family store with special treats/snacks and fun things for them to buy too. I hope this will last all summer.
I have also been making them read for 20 minutes everyday. They are excited about this because they are doing the summer reading program from the library.

I hope we all survive!!

We are one step closer to having grass in our backyard.

I am so excited.

Now when can we put it in?

I want it to be done already.

I am done with the dirt and little rocks everywhere.

I want to open the blinds and see green.

Hopefully in 2 weeks it will be done.

We have been waiting a long time for this.

Carson bought this hat at Monster Jam.

He wears it all the time.

And I mean.....ALL. THE. TIME!!!

He will even wear it right up until he crawls into bed.

The other day he came home from school and he had left it on the playground.

He was so sad.

Over the next week or two he checked the lost and found.

He asked his teacher.

He could not find it.

I told him that someone probably stole it.

Well.....he found it!

It was hanging on a hook in the P.E. room.

He was pretty happy!

Memorial Day went like this....

The boys went hiking early in the morning on Sunrise mountain. They have been talking about doing this for awhile now. I stayed home with Greyson.

We washed the van and the truck. Cleaned the house and then just relaxed.

Tanner called Grandma & Grandpa to see if he could go over to help them do any work. Of course they did! He has big plans to do this over the summer.

Then we ended the day with U-swirl.
