Why do we always get pink eye?
Why can we never get rid of it?
Why was it so nice & warm yesterday and today it is cold & rainy?
Why do parents not care if their kids are loud in sacrament meeting?
Why do people bring cell phones to church?
Why do they answer their cell phones if they ring during meetings?
Why does my house get so messy & dirty every Sunday?
Why can't I just sit and read? And not be bothered?

"Buttered" Noodles
**from Deceptively Delicious Cookbook**
8 oz pasta
1/2 cup yellow squash puree
1/4 cup nonfat milk
2 tablespoons fat free soft tub margarine spread
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cook pasta according to directions on package. Drain, return the pasta to the warm pot, and stir in the squash puree (make sure the puree is very creamy), milk, margarine, Parmesan, and salt.
*We had this for dinner tonight and it was pretty good. If I make pasta this is how I fix it (minus the puree) because the boys won't eat red spaghetti sauce. So to them it was not anything different......except they got their veggies!! I added a little more butter then the recipe called for & also sprinkled more cheese on top. Just thought I would share. I have 2 more on the menu for this week so we will see how they go. Wish me luck.

Random things
* My NY ticket has been purchased. I am getting so excited! We will be gone for 10 days so I have alot of planning to do with the kids. I am going to for sure miss them....but did I already say that I am so excited! I get to see the Statue of Liberty. FINALLY!!!
* I am making 3 recipes this week from Deceptively Delicious cookbook. If the boys like them then I will share later!
* This is my 268 post!
* I made my blog into a book on Blurb. It really wasn't that expensive or even that hard to do.
* Went out to dinner with some friends from our ward & I tried alligator! It wasn't that bad.
* And then of course a picture I took of Crew in the bath. Boots always has to get in there too.
I like how I caught the splash.

Walking with Dinosaurs

We went to walking with dinosaurs today with the kids. These tickets were a gift to the boys from their grandparents & it was such a great idea as a gift. Thanks again!!
It was nice to have something to do today since there was no school. The boys loved it! I really liked it to. And Crew was actually ok. He didn't really like it at first but then loved it & ended up falling asleep.

What's next?
Tanner went back to school on Monday after Christmas break. I was so happy! Finally we were going to be getting back to our routine & schedule around here. Well I wasn't home for long when I get a call from the school nurse. She said that he was crying & said that his stomach hurt. He told her that he was sick all last week. OK he was sick on Saturday. I was going to kill this kid. So I went to get him. Brought him home & he laid on the couch for a half hour & then was up asking for pudding and running around. It didn't take him long before he started picking on Carson & then the fighting began. He didn't complain again about his stomach hurting till the next day when it was time to walk out the door for school. Well after lots of questions....Come to find out that he was worried & nervous about going back to school. I think this kid has some anxiety issues. I don't think I can handle this every time he goes back after a break. What's going to be next.

On Thursday morning Crew woke up with hives. I wasn't really sure what it was actually. It got worse and worse throughout the day. They were only on his arms, hands, legs, feet & bottom. By that night he was really bad & crying when we touched him. After a visit to the ER later that night we did find out that he had an allergic reaction & had hives. We got home at 11:30 that night with medicine. The next day he looked much better. He was so tired & wouldn't take a nap for me. He was eating goldfish in his highchair while I was trying to make dinner & fell asleep. Poor baby.
This is a picture of him tonight. This still looks so much better then the other night but now there are new ones all over again. His doctor told me that hives can flare up for up to two weeks. And now he needs to see an allergy specialist to find out more!

Tanner was sick all day today. He was really pale & threw up a couple times. Just pretty much stayed in his pjs & was on the couch all day long. Well after he woke up from a nap around dinner time we was HUNGRY!!! He ate chicken noodle soup, 2 pickles & sprite. Then a little later had string cheese & pudding. And then some more soup. Hopefully he really is feeling better cause if not, this is not going to be a fun night.

Resolutions & Plans
Now that all the decorations are put away till next year & all the goodies are out of my house, I can think about my new year resolutions. Every year I tell myself that I am going to exercise & eat better. So that again has made my list. I want to try to be a better person. All around. Try not to judge, gossip, or be mean. I want to see the good in everyone & be more loving & forgiving. I want to make lots more time for the boys. I sit at the computer enough with work & now with this blogging addiction. It really takes up a lot of my time. I just need to balance my time better. I need to really try and work hard with Tanner & figure out a way to help him become a better reader & speller. I need to make more time for Brian too. He is my best friend & I need to tell him that more. I need to be better about FHE. Just even if it is time telling stories or singing songs. I'm for sure doing this one! I just need to. I want to be way more organized and get rid of stuff that is not needed.
I have lots more things that I want to do this year to make 2008 even better than last year. My list could go on & on.
Other plans for this year is my trip to NY & Brian's trip he is planning to Maui. I want to also plan a family trip maybe to Disneyland. I think the boys would have a good time. We haven't done that in awhile. What are some of your plans for 2008?
