Camp Invention

Tanner went to Camp Invention all last week. He had such a good time. Everyday he came home & needed to just relax on the couch & watch TV. But after he was home for awhile he would not stop talking & telling stories about everything that he did.
This was right up his alley. He loves tape & I guess you could call it trash in our house.
(We don't recycle. But we just might start after everything Tanner learned this last week.)

I thought this was so cool. They worked together as teams & built a city.
It was so fun to go on Friday & see everything that they had been working on.
Amanda & all the other leaders did such a great job!!

New business

Jen & I have been busy making some jewelry.
This is our new little business.
Check it out.......Just be. Custom hand stamped jewelry.
& watch for listings in our etsy shop.

Red Box

I have always wanted to rent a movie from red box. I never have because they are always busy & I am always coming out from the store with all 3 kids. But this morning I went to the store & tried it. It is only $1 a movie for one day rental. Whoever thought of this is brilliant. So I rented Definitely, Maybe & The Spiderwick. So I will have to let you know how the movies are & if we can get them turned in on time!! That is always my problem.

Soccer party

Tanner's soccer party was last night. He was so exited for his trophy. And Jess did good this year.....with a bobble head pen. They are the cutest!!

All the boys had fun playing at the park. Especially this boy.

Library

Went to the library tonight with the boys to get all the info we needed for the summer reading program. We did this last summer & the boys really liked it. You can earn different things after reading or doing a activity. This year after they complete it, they will get a mood pencil, Lied Discovery Museum pass, pencil pouch, and a gold medal.
We also checked out some books too. One of they books we read tonight was I Love You, Stinky Face. It was a really cute book. I recommend it if you haven't already read it!

Riding

Tanner tearing it up. He loves to do go off and be crazy.
And this is what he looks like when he takes his helmet off.

These two boys just had fun playing in the back of the truck & trailer.
And this boy loves riding too. He didn't want to stop.

And Crew was as happy as can be! He had fun just watching & eating snacks.
He didn't even get cranky.
He was cheesing for the camera.

We had so much fun last night riding. We went with the Nash family, Brooke & boys, and Kim & Tajia. Every other time we have been invited we haven't been able to go. I'm glad it worked this time. The Rhino was so much fun. We would love to have one of those. Thanks for giving us rides & sharing with us you guys!

Things that made me smile today

* Trampoline = happy & entertained kids!

* Finding $6 in the back pocket of my jeans that I put on today!

* This picture that Sadie drew of me. She gave it to me this morning before they left. She is so adorable. I could just squeeze her! Thanks Sadie for making me smile. :)

* I bought a new package of pens & Carson was selling them to Brian & I for $1.00. Brian bought one. I told him I didn't have any money so he said "then you can just give me a hug.

* Yummy Smores. We went riding tonight at the dunes with Brooke & the Nash family. It was so much fun. (will post some pictures tomorrow) And our refreshments were Smores.

*These cute girls!! (They came with us tonight too)
The hole for the trampoline is done. We put it together last night.
The boys jumped. And jumped some more.
That is all they wanted to do. Brian & I even jumped with them.
I have to admit....it is pretty fun. Brings back memories.
When it was almost put together, Tanner told Brian that he could be the first
to jump since he worked so hard.
Crew was so cute he jumped with Brian & when they
came inside he was loving on him & giving him kisses.
I think it was his way of thanking him.
We are going to have some fun times.
I'm just anxious to get the rest of the backyard done.
I hate that my floors are always dirty and I can't walk barefoot.

Today we did....

...a little bit of smiling. We had family pictures taken at the temple. Since Ryan is home & everyone else is home. We needed an updated one. The family has grown since the last one. I think they will turn out nice. Thanks to our talented friend Sara!!
......some skating. Tanner's skateboarding class started today. He has been waiting so long for this. It is 2 hours long and was pretty hot today. I think we all got a little sunburned. But he had a blast & learned lots. There is so many skateboarding terms I need to learn!!
Tony (a friend from Tanner's class at school) & Zoe were in the class to.

The teacher took them inside "the bowl" today. Tanner didn't know about it at first but once he learned how to get in, he thought it was cool. Every other time we have gone to the skate park we just sit & watch the older kids ride around in there. By the way, the teacher is a girl. She is pretty good too! And I think all the boys were surprised & the girls probably thought she was so cool!

.....Tiny tot sports. This is Carson's class that he is doing at the Rec Center. He loves it. He gets so excited to go & then loves to tell everyone what he did.

A Good Day

(My camera battery died at the airport....so this pic is from Heather)

We picked Ryan up from the airport yesterday. His flight came a little early & we didn't know this until he walked up to us talking & said "Who are we waiting for?" It was pretty funny. We didn't even get to embarrass him with all the signs that Kim made. Oh well! We hung out at mom's for most of the day. Tanner was loving him some Uncle Ryan. He was really into the Canadian money. And he had tons of questions about missionaries.
We had a good day! I'm so glad Ryan is home & so thankful for him & the example he has set for my boys.
