My wedding album

Today when we left church Tanner asked if Daddy & I were married in the temple & if he was there. So I had to get out the old wedding album. If was fun to look through it with him. To remember that day. We looked so young. We were so young. And so was everyone else. Tanner just giggled when I told him that was Aunt Kimberly & Uncle Ryan & Russell. They were so little. I wonder if they remember that day. Now looking back I think of how I would have done things differently. My photographer, flowers, my hair & makeup. Anyways, I guess that is who we were.

Tanner had to give a talk in primary today. I thought for sure he wouldn't do it because he would be scared. But he did great. I think it had something to do with the microphone. It is just so cool to talk into. You know?

Guess who is taking a nap right now. Carson fell asleep after church. He much needed it. He was so cranky during sacrament meeting.

Getting ready to go to moms for dinner. It will be good to let the boys play.

I Survived!!

I survived the baby shower. It turned out to be really nice. But I am just glad it is over. My house is clean now but who knows how long that will last. It always seems like Sundays are a messy day. Because nothing gets done. But it is always good to have a day not to have to worry about housework.
Well today is Carson's 4th day in a row without a nap. I guess I can officially say goodbye to naps! How sad! I used to love the 2 naps a day then it goes down to only one... now none. I can't believe it. He is a big boy now. It just still makes me really sad.
Carson was so cute today with April's babies. He was so excited to see them crying and eating. He was pointing out their eyes and nose. I asked him if he wanted a baby sister and he said "No", then I asked him if he wanted a baby brother and he said "No". Anyways he was still so cute with them.
Well I guess I better at least look over my lesson for tomorrow.

Tanner & Our Day

Tanner is so funny with the shows he like to watch too. He always asks to watch America's Funniest Home Videos, Phil of the Future, The Suite Life of Zach & Cody, or Dukes of Hazard (the old ones)& he loves the old school cartoons. Tom & Jerry, Pink Panther, Dastardly & Muttley, The Zoo--Do you remember those?? Some other favorites that he watches with Brian are American Chopper & Myth Busters. He was watching AFV tonight & they had videos about cats. He was cracking up! I love hearing him laugh. It makes me smile & even sometimes laugh. Well always laugh because I think his laugh is contagious.
His lip is now a scab. It looks pretty gross & yes he is a picker like his mom so he can't just leave it alone. I can only put stuff on it at night when he is sleeping.
The boys played hard today. The days have been so nice so we have been outside a lot lately. I watched Connor & Wyatt today for Brooke. They had a blast. Riding in the Jeep and playing outside in my dirt backyard. Oh well that is what makes boys happy. Thank goodness for baths!!
Well this is now 3 days in a row of Carson not taking a nap. I am seriously missing those naps. If you can't already tell. I hate the late afternoons trying to keep him awake till at least 8:00. Tonight I made it & he crashed on my bed after his bath right at 8:00!!

Scooby doo & Carson

Carson is way into scooby doo 2 movie. He watches this movie a hundred times a day. He carries around the DVD container everywhere. Whenever we leave he has to bring it with him & even to bed with him at night. He brought it to Costco the other day & the man scanned it. I had to tell him that it was ours. I'm sure after taking a closed look he could tell because it is all torn up.
He has also been not taking naps and actually lasting all day. He used to crash around 5pm and then be up all night. It has been 2 days with no nap. I'm not too happy about it because the thought of no break. But at least there is guarantee to an early bed time!! I just keep thinking it might catch up to him.

Do you remember...

Crystal Palace Skating Center??? We went today for a birthday party. Oh boy did it bring back some memories! The place looks exactly the same. Brooke came too with Connor. That is something hard for kids to learn to do. But I think they had fun. I know Me, Brian, Jessica, Brooke, Jen, & Jessica did. There were more adults skating than kids at the party. Pretty funny sight.

Valentines

We had a good day. It started with a heart attack from Kimberly. She is so fun. My kids love her. & so do I!! Tanner went to preschool with his valentines for his party and came back with lots more. (I don't remember getting that much candy for Valentines) When he came home Carson wanted to see them. Tanner decided to share some with Carson but only the ones the girls had given him. Barbie, teddybears, & princess ones. Carson didn't care, it just made him feel a part of it all. Everytime Carson would misplace them he would say, "Where are my girls?" It was the funniest thing to hear him say that. Then when Brian came home I had to explain what he was talking about. Mom brought me some sugar cookie dough. Because I was saying to her that I can never make my dough right & then my cookie don't taste as good as hers. Even though it is the same recipe. So sweet mom made me some dough. Love her too!! So after dinner the boys & I made cookies. Now I just have to frost them.--Wonder if it will turn out like mom's? Anyways just had a fun day. Didn't really do any cleaning. So today will probably be filled with cleaning, working, frosting cookies, & maybe we can go to the library or something fun.

Thinking

about the last few days. Candace and Sadie have been in town to visit. It has been so fun to see them. Sadie is such a big girl & how different she is from what I am used to...BOYS!
I hope everyone had fun last night at our little makeup party. Jen asked me who I thought looked the best and I said everyone. I really couldn't say one was the best. And I am so glad mom did it too. Everyone looked so pretty. Can't wait to see the pictures! I hope they all had a good time. Carson is such a funny boy. At night in his crib he sleeps with a pillow, of course is favorite blue blanket, horse, monkey, bear, elephant and then sometime whatever else is holding or playing with right before he goes to bed. Sometimes it is a flashlight, his Superman piggy bank, a book. Last night it was a big pink bouncy ball. Tanner is getting so big. He is doing so much better in school. At least compared to last year. He is starting to write his last name. It is crazy to think that he will be 5 soon! When we were at the park to other day he was talking to me & the light was shining on his face. It was so cute I could see his little freckles that I normally can't see. Only something a mom loves! He told me the other day is we don't use the eggs in our fridge then they will turn into chicks! I tried to explain to him that they won't . But he aruged with me. He seems to have it all figured out. Things that need to get done this weekend:
Wash my dirty car.
Get Brian a birthday present.(But not sure what yet.)
Get my hair cut.
Cut the boys hair. (if they will let me)
Well I guess I should start my dat.

Night out with the girls!

Had a fun night tonight with the girls. We went to Cheesecake Factory for Jen's birthday. A few friends, Jen, Cheryl, Hayley & Robin. We had a good time. Then went back to Jen's for cake and just sat around and visited. It seems like time just flys by when you are not really doing anything. Now see I get home so late and try to unwind. I always say "if you play, you pay." And that is so true. I will probably be tired tomorrow. But at least it is Friday.

Goals

Since today is the 1st of February I wanted to write down just a few goals for this month. Just a few things to keep me on track. Maybe if I write them down I may actually do them.
**Try to get up & go workout at least 5 days a week.
**Drink more water.
**Try to do more fun things with the boys.
**Read more.
**Keep writing in this blog because I find that it is easy to do & it is something good.
