Today....

  • I dropped all the kids off to school. (Tanner, Carson & Connor)
  • Dropped Crew off at babysitter's house
  • Took a trip to the scout office. Had to buy awards for the boys & also picked up Brian & I a scout shirt. We have put this off for long enough. He is so mad!! But I think we are the only leaders without shirts.
  • Picked up Crew & then Carson & Connor.
  • Went to McDonald's drive thru for lunch. Carson was mad we didn't get to play inside.
  • Drove by the church to tell the other scout leaders that I couldn't stay to help make decorations for Blue & Gold Dinner because I needed to put Crew down for a nap. Took some stuff to do at home.
  • Got lots of work done.
  • Didn't have to pick Tanner up from school. :) He went to his friends house.
  • Teresa stopped by to visit & ate dinner with us.
  • I didn't make dinner tonight. We had leftovers & salad.
  • Did homework with Tanner. And made some decorations for scouts.
  • Picked up the house & cleaned the kitchen.
  • Went to pay the babysitter from last night.
  • Stopped at the store for a few things.
  • Came home to everyone in the bath.
  • Read blogs.
Now I am going to put Crew to bed. And I want to try & finish reading Eclipse. I only have 2 more chapters. I really want to finish. And then go to bed so my day can start bright and early at 5:40am so I can go to the gym.

Brian & I went shooting today. It was actually my idea. Just thought it would be fun to do something for his birthday that he enjoyed. I shot a pistol for the first time. And I liked it. Well when he was shooting I was behind him & off to the side.......when all of a sudden something hits me in the eye!!! It broke my sunglasses!!! My eye started bleeding from my eyelid and it killed. I washed it out really good. When we got home it wasn't feeling any better. It was swollen & felt like something was stuck in there. So we took a trip to the ER. I got an eye exam & found that I had a scratched cornea. And that was causing the feeling like something was stuck in there. I got a prescription for an antibiotic ointment & some Lortab. So here is me in the room.

And here is Brian texting all his friends to tell them what happened. How rude!!

Happy Birthday Brian!

Today is Brian's 34th birthday We went to dinner at Lone Star. It was kind of crazy with Crew. He wouldn't sit in the high chair. And then he really didn't eat good. I think cause it was just something different from what he is used to.
Then we came home for some cookie & ice cream. Paul, Jean, Jessica & the boys came over at the last minute to share the birthday treats with us.
Brian opened his presents from us last night. The boys couldn't wait. He got the Bourne movies, church pants, 2 ties & a bucket buddy.

Happy Birthday Brian!

Conversations

With Tanner

Tanner: I almost was someone's valentine.
Me: You were? Who?
Tanner : This girl. But I told her no.

With Carson:

Carson: How come you don't stand up to go pee pee?
Me: Because girls have to sit down.
Carson: Don't you have a pee pee?
Me: Yes but it is different from boys.
Carson: Let me see.
Me: No (And then I changed the subject.)

Brian was just wondering if Crew was ready for forwarding facing in his car seat??

Brian had a little fun with all the "Baby Center know it all mom's" comments from Melissa's blog. He had a photo shoot with the boys this morning. Just thought maybe this would make some of you laugh. Some just might be "outraged".

We had this for dinner last night. It was good. Everyone seemed to like to except the "cream" on top. Maybe next time I will let whoever wants sour cream to add later.

Chicken Nacho Bake

4 small chicken breasts
1/2 cup salsa
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips
1/2 cup mexican style shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place chicken on foil-covered baking sheet. Slice 3 cuts on top of each chicken breast with sharp knife. Top each evenly with salsa, sour cream, and tortilla chips. Bake 20 min. Remove from oven; sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 10 min. or until chicken is cooked through.
